Fadilec's story begins in 1994 when Didier Farigoule, its founder, started the business in his parents' garage in St Priest near Lyon with a first contract for Renault. The company specializes in designing and implementing comprehensive solutions in industrial process automation and robotics. FADILEC operates in the nuclear, pharmaceutical, chemical, agri-food, automotive, and aerospace sectors, with fifty employees spread across the sites in Laudun (30) and Vénissieux (69). With a turnover of 5 million euros, it continues to grow. The GIFEN recently spoke with Didier Farigoule, the founder and director.

What are the activities of your company within the nuclear industry?

FADILEC is an engineering firm specialized in complex and secure control systems, including supervision, industrial computing, and nuclear sphere for classified installations to protect the environment. At ICPE, we specialize in providing tailored solutions for the entire lifecycle of nuclear facilities, including basic nuclear installations (INB) and secret basic nuclear installations (INBS). From design to commissioning, our offerings encompass customized solutions that integrate process control, traceability, industrial cybersecurity, and machine safety. As certified integrators for Schneider and Siemens, and experts in Panorama, Intouch, and PCS7, we are also accredited by EDF to develop nuclear safety automation (K3C3 controller).

We specialize in the implementation, production, research and development, and handling processes, with expertise in waste package storage bridge, stacker crane, conveyor, inspection robot, health chain, glove boxes, assembly line, as well as in nuclear measurement (characterization station, spectrometry, X-ray station, etc.).

We are modernizing the processes of our facilities and production tools to ensure our clients higher industrial performance and safety in demanding and highly regulated environments, with very high risks.

What is the latest news regarding your company's involvement in the nuclear industry?

In November last year, FADILEC joined the FAUCHÉ Group, the leading independent French provider of energy solutions and services, with 2800 employees spread across over 120 locations in France. This partnership will enable the Fauché Group to diversify its offerings and expand its client portfolio and geographical coverage in the Rhône-Alpes and Occitanie regions. FADILEC, of which I remain the director, is constantly growing and recruiting talented individuals who enjoy challenges.

What are the prospects for the medium and long-term development of your company?

The collaboration between FADILEC and FAUCHÉ will enhance our growth, accelerate our expansion throughout France and Europe, establishing us as a major and reputable player in complex automation and nuclear safety.

Together, thanks to our complementary strengths and shared values, we will create real operational and commercial synergies, significantly enhancing our technical and financial capabilities. We will benefit from the support services of the Fauché Group, essential for the realization of large-scale projects.

The FAUCHÉ development plan aims to expand the FADILEC brand by establishing multiple agencies.

FADILEC will focus on markets for complex automation with high added value, where nuclear safety is a major concern. Significant new market shares have been identified, and FADILEC aims to establish its position in these markets.

Cybersecurity is at the core of all our processes. With our expertise acknowledged by EDF as a leading company in safety automation K3C3 Schneider, we aim to continue and sustain the development of these market shares.

Another area of focus for our development is to meet the needs of our clients in the pharmaceutical, aerospace, and agri-food industries by undertaking major projects that involve industrial supervision and computer technology.
