What are HENSOLDT's activities within the nuclear industry?

HENSOLDT Nexeya France is a French mid-sized company committed to supporting major players in the nuclear industry. We provide advanced electronics services and solutions to enhance the safety and performance of nuclear facilities. Our work involves designing, developing, and integrating innovative systems that meet the regulatory requirements of this field. Our main activities include the integration and operational maintenance of complex control systems, such as digital communication networks for nuclear installations.

HENSOLDT also supports its clients in the operational maintenance of nuclear infrastructures, providing dedicated services for modernization, obsolescence management, and extending the lifespan of critical systems. With its combined expertise in electronics and real-time data fusion, the company actively contributes to the digitalization of facilities, leading to improved operational efficiency and reduced risks.

HENSOLDT leverages the cross-transfer of expertise from the defense and civilian sectors to provide display solutions (including a range of rugged screens and panel PCs) and power conversion equipment to all stakeholders in the nuclear industry.

 

What is the latest news regarding HENSOLDT?

HENSOLDT is investing and strengthening its activities in the nuclear sector by developing chargers and inverters for nuclear power plants. Its expertise in power conversion also allows it to develop and produce power supplies and demagnetization solutions in France for defense platforms such as frigates and nuclear-powered aircraft carriers. To support the growing demand, the group is investing 5.5 million euros in the construction of a new production site in Epreville, Normandy, which will be inaugurated in December 2024.

 

What are the medium and long-term development prospects for HENSOLDT?

HENSOLDT anticipates significant growth in the civil and defense segments of the nuclear sector. This is already being realized through contributions to large-scale industrial programs, such as the design of future nuclear-powered defense platforms, nuclear power plants, and scientific nuclear facilities. The range of services and maintenance support is being strengthened to address the challenges of extending the lifespan of nuclear power plants, as well as ensuring the security and maintenance of EPR and SMR facilities.

At the same time, strengthening production capabilities and establishing centers of expertise ensure the maximum availability expected by our clients. Strategic partnerships are formed with industrial and expert companies in complementary fields to electronics.
