Following the Roadmap for New Nuclear meeting initiated in 2024 by the Nuclear Energy Agency, a gathering of representatives from the nuclear industries of various OECD countries (France, Canada, the United States, Japan, South Korea, the United Kingdom), as well as Nucleareurope and the World Nuclear Association, took place in Paris on September 18 and 19.

A call to governments in favor of nuclear energy

This meeting resulted in the signing of a joint declaration, the text of which reaffirms the sector's commitment to providing safe, reliable, and decarbonized energy while supporting economic growth and energy security.

The signatories urge governments to take concrete actions to support investment in nuclear energy, extend the lifespan of existing reactors, and promote the development of new technologies.
