Under the leadership of GIFEN, the French nuclear industry is undergoing a transformation. In January 2019, it made a commitment to the French government by signing, through the Strategic Committee for the Nuclear Sector, a sector contract for the implementation of an action plan along four lines:

    • Maintaining skills and training
    • Continuing the digital transformation of the sector
    • Research and innovation at the service of the circular economy
    • Development on the international market

Beyond these strategic axes, GIFEN also works to ensure the sustainability of the industry's activities in France, and acts as a voice in France and throughout Europe. Finally, it ensures that companies work together in terms of nuclear quality and safety.
