From March 19 to 20, GIFEN and Nuclear Valley brought together 70 representatives from the French and Belgian sectors in Brussels and then in Mol, alongside the Belgian forums BNF, BNS, and AGORIA. This event provided an opportunity to share information about major projects led by French and Belgian operators, all of whom were present. It also allowed for the exchange of perspectives on the challenges that both sectors can address collaboratively, facilitated connections between companies, and supported the development of industrial partnerships. Nearly 300 B2B meetings took place during this event.
These meeting days concluded with a site visit in Mol, which included a presentation of the public communication center at Tabloo, the Myrrha project, and the research activities conducted in the laboratories at the SCK-CEN site.
These two days provided an opportunity to discuss in practical terms how the capabilities of the French nuclear industry to support nuclear facilities, along with the extensive experience of the Belgian sector, can contribute to the revitalization of programs aimed at ensuring European energy sovereignty.
A heartfelt thank you to all participants for their engagement and constructive discussions, as well as to everyone who contributed to the success of these meetings: the Nuclear Belgian Forum, the Belgian Nuclear Society, and the AGORIA Science and Industry Hub.
