EPR 2, the return! You are part of the team of scouts on this great project. To make it simpler, more economical, more efficient, while maintaining a unit power of 1650 MW and a very high level of safety, capitalising on the feedback from previous EPR projects (China, UK, France, Finland).
The fluid system you will be dealing with is the RRI system (intermediate cooling system). It consists of :
o Collecting and appropriating the safety, regulatory and normal operation requirements in order to design the System Architecture,
o Design the system as a hydraulic and thermal circuit and specify the system equipment,
o Establish the functional control-command specifications and validation procedures,
o Pilot the technical studies and associated modifications,
o Provide associated documentation: system documentation for use in the control room, interface cards with other systems and disciplines, sizing notes, operating diagrams.
That's quite a lot to do, certainly! But they say you're more of a hard worker, aren't you?
You are a General Engineer or a specialist in nuclear engineering, atomic engineering, fluid mechanics...and your knowledge in fluid mechanics, hydraulics and methods of dimensioning a fluid system are important assets for this mission.
Also, you have skills in Control-Command and Automation as well as in reading functional diagrams such as DFE/DFD.
Come and try the OAKRIDGE experience by applying now and we will be pleased to study your profile!
