NAAREA (Nuclear Abundant Affordable Resourceful Energy for All) was founded in 2020 by Jean-Luc Alexandre and Ivan Gavriloff to address the objectives of energy sovereignty, decarbonization and energy mix. NAAREA is developing an innovative sustainable nuclear energy solution: the XAMR® (eXtrasmall Advanced Modular Reactor), a fast neutron molten-salt micro-generator capable of producing electricity and heat from long-lived spent fuel. With a capacity of 40 MW, the XAMR® is intended to be industrially produced in large quantities and installed as close as possible to consumers. NAAREA benefits from support from CEA and CNRS, and industrial players such as ASSYSTEM, Dassault Systems, ORANO and Framatome.
NAAREA is a winner of the "Innovative Nuclear Reactors" call for projects under the France 2030 investment plan, and benefits from the French Tech 2030 support program.
