The MAUPERTUIS Institute is an R&D resource centre located in Brittany on innovative technologies (CIR approved):
- Laser welding and cutting
- Metal additive manufacturing: Wire / Fusion Arc Electrique = WAAM or Wire / Fusion Laser = WLAM
- Conventional mixing friction welding = FSW (or SSFSW static shoulder)

Equipped with testing facilities, we advise and support our industrial customers to evaluate, test and integrate these innovative technologies to increase their competitiveness.
We work with reputable companies in the automotive, aerospace, aeronautique, rail and energy industries, but also with local industrial companies.

Our highly qualified doctors and engineers support you in developing innovative robotic assembly systems with a flexible and efficient R&D welding platform (8 robotic cells (3 high-power lasers (up to 20 kW)) and 2 robotic FSW equipment).
