In energy transition, the CEA brings expertise and innovation for the implementation of a low-carbon energy system. It works on all modes of low-carbon energy production (nuclear energy, renewable energies), their interactions within the grid and on resources in a circular economy approach.

In the field of nuclear energy, the CEA offers expertise on the entire nuclear cycle: fuel and reactor performance, safety, nuclear of the future, decommissioning and waste management, radiobiology and nuclear toxicology.
