ATRON METROLOGY

ATRON METROLOGY performs the calibration of ionising radiation measuring instruments using the braking rays of previously accelerated electrons.

In addition to this activity, ATRON's electron accelerator makes it possible to respond to numerous problems of qualification and modification of materials under irradiation, such as the accelerated ageing of organic, mineral or metallic materials, the qualification of electronic components or on-board systems used in hostile environments – for aerospace applications or in nuclear installations –, the modification of the properties of certain plastics subjected to irradiation, the development of detection systems or means of measuring ionising radiation, etc.

ATRON is thus part of a sustainable development dynamic by carrying out studies to improve the performance of materials, make installations more reliable and reduce the consumption of raw materials.
