AFCEN is an international non profit society. its members ( operators, manufacturers, equipment suppliers, organizations, consulting firms, training providers, and so on) represent an accurate cross-section of the stakeholders actively involved in both the French and international nuclear industry. Ever since its inception in 1980, AFCEN has been driven by a mission to establish a series of design, construction and operation technical rules for nuclear equipment and building, reflecting on-the-ground practices, feedback from industry and the latest knowledge in a bid to guarantee the superior level of quality and safety required for operating nuclear reactors.
